Surge serves convenience-store chains, foodservice distributors, and consumer brands that buy packaging at scale. We started with a paper straw and grew into the full catalog from there.
Why we exist.
Surge started on the beaches of Los Angeles. Lukas grew up there, and after enough beach cleanups it was obvious that picking up plastic after the fact wasn't going to fix anything. It had to be stopped at the source. The most useful place to start was the straw.
Paper straws had a bad reputation for a reason: they went soft in minutes and tasted like paper. So the first Surge product was a paper straw built to last hours in a drink, with a petroleum-free coating and no taste. Convenience chains bought it, then asked what else we could make.
Today we supply the full lineup: hot and cold cups, lids, straws, stirrers, bags, napkins, and food containers, all custom branded. And because we were tired of suppliers who go quiet after the confirmation email, we built a portal so every customer can see exactly what we have, what we're producing, and where every order is.
